Massingbird were asked by a private client in Tower Hamlets, east London, to design and take through to completion a scheme to open up the rear of the property and create a large family room addition, and to also adapt the existing lower ground rooms to accommodate a guest a suite. The client was keen on using a bottle green glazed brick throughout the design, into the landscaping, to create a continuous architectural language between inside and outside. Unfortunately, the project did not progress beyond tender stage as the clients circumstances changed.
