Contemporary glazed addition to the rear of an 18th century grade 2 listed town house in east London; completed. The existing family home used a lower ground basement space for the kitchen/diner and consequently had a very a poor connection to the fantastic walled garden to the rear. The new addition is conceived as a lightweight steel and glass structure that gently slots in between the existing historical architectural fabric.
